Just wanted everyone to know agent cooper is still kickin, just no
plans to bring any shows this summer…

We’ll be announcing events and shows for this coming fall
shortly (there will be some good ones, so keep checking back).

Congratulations to Pat Salcone on winning Shawn Funk’s “green meanie” Schwinn, and thank you, Northern Hills and the community
of Newell for such great continual support of the Shawn Funk School of Art and Music. The raffle for the bike, and the auction of Shawn’s
estate were very successful, however, there is still a long way to go, and a great deal of funds to still raise. To find out how you can help, visit funkpottery.com

Cheers to everyone! Hope your summer is going great

Hello Black Hills community! We would like to send out some new info regarding the raffle for Shawn’s bike.
Upon demand and request, the timeline will be extended. The drawing will not be held on April 23rd, but rather on May 21st.

First off, we would like to thank Mike Bruce for his amazing job he did on the pinstriping of Shawn’s old green meanie Schwinn. Thanks also to his lovely wife Ashley for reupholstering the seat. Thanks to the Spearfish Bike Co-Op for fully restoring and painting the bike, tuning the mechanics up to pro specs, and all of their support with this project. The bike will be on display for this next month between the Spearfish Chophouse and Whiskey Bar, and the Crow Peak Brewery. Raffle tickets will continue to be available at those two locations as well as Global
Market and the Spearfish Bike Co-Op. The bike will also be on site at the Co-Op’s April 23rd Blooming Bicycle Fest event at the Spearfish Park Pavillion. Shawn’s bike will be on display and raffle tickets will available there as well.
A food and beer pairing from 6p-8p will be presented by the Spearfish Chophouse and the Crow Peak Brewery with live music from Six Mile Road. An unset suggested donation gains you entry, and set ticketing inside for the food and beer selections will be the program. If you come for this portion of the event, you can stay for the Dancehall DJ party starting at 9p. If you come just for this portion, it is $10, 21+, and a cup is included to fill all night with Crow Peak beer til its gone, then New Belgium Brewing products will be on tap.
All funds for this event go to the Spearfish Bike Co-Op…

Also, Friday, April 23rd- Shawn Funk School of Art and Music Pancake Supper, Silent Auction and Bake Sale fundraiser at the NVN Newell Senior Center. 5p-7p (or longer)

Items on the block:
Art pieces from local artists Mike Knutson, Eric Jones, and James Canfield

Lastly, the drawing for Shawn’s bike will take place on Friday, May 21st at the Spearfish Art Gallery. The bike will be on display all week with the
Bicycle Art Show the Spearfish Bike Co-Op is spearheading May 17th-21st. An artists’ reception will be held at the Gallery with live music from the
Dakota Jazz Collective, and the drawing will take place there. You’ve got a little more time now to see the bike, and get your tickets if
you’ve not already, or increase your odds by picking up some more.
