After the festival wrapped up Saturday night with a killer set from The Wallflowers, Young Dubliners took the stage a second time this weekend for a somewhat secret show at the Saloon No.10. The intimate club setting for a full night’s show with the Young Dubs was an added treat for Jam-goers. Fans packed the No.10 well before the Young Dubs took the stage, waiting to be rocked. They did not disappoint. Jam-goers bounced all night to their progressive Old World Celt-rock sound.
The Deadwood Jam board would like to thank all the artists, volunteers, sponsors, the city of Deadwood, and DMM Sound for making the ‘08 Jam a great one! We would also like to thank all you hardcore Jam fans for coming out and seeing the show in the face of some wet and not-so-warm conditions. Be proud–you are one of the hardiest audiences ever seen. The Young Dubs even said so! All the performances were outstanding and sound couldn’t have been better. The Deadwood Jam board dedicates Saturday’s show to Shawn Funk, Black Hills artist, musician, teacher, and friend to many who passed away Thursday, September 11th. Our condolences to the Funk family.
